Dumplings are a common part of a New Year feast. While dumplings have a regular place on dinner table, they can also represent abundance and wealth during the new year. The variety of shapes, fillings, and preparation methods offer many opportunities for creative flavors. With this menu, we take some classic Taiwanese dishes and turn them into dumplings with a customized dipping sauce.
Tentative menu:
Chilled garlic marinated beets
Chili oil wontons
crab + pork wontons, pickled mustard greens, Su coriander chili crisp
Sesame Oil Chicken Dumplings
ginger, chicken, chanterelle mushrooms, boozy sesame oil chicken sauce
“Chicken Roll” Dumpling
fish paste, cabbage, carrots, shiitake, carrot, onions, soy skin, sweet chili paste
Beef Noodle Soup Dumpling
beef, duobanjiang, tomato, bok choy, and pickled mustard greens, lu wei soy dipping sauce
Ai Yu
aiyu jelly, assorted fruits, citrus syrup
